FTU-P100/R100

FTU-100 series of P&C Technologies behave IED (Intelligent Electronic Device) for distribution automation, which is a fullydigitalized and microprocessor-based control device. Basic functions of FTU are controlling of LBS (Load Break Switch)and Recloser, status monitoring, and measuring of electric values. All these functions are performed from remote controlcenter through communication.

FTU-100 series have 3 different models according to the switch to which each model is applied.

  1. FTU-P100 is Pole-topLoad Break Switch Control.
  2. FTU-R100 is Automatic Circuit Recloser Control.
  3. FTU-GD100 is Feeder RTU for Pad-mounted Multiple-circuits Load Break Switch.

Features & Functions

FTU-100seriesadopt Fault Detection schemes for Phase fault (A/B/C), Ground fault (N), and even Sensitive Earth fault (SEF).Especially, FTU-R100 supports protection and reclosing functions, such as 48 types of built-in editable TC curves, instantaneous &time-delayed protection elements for phase or ground faults including SEF, auto-reclosing up to 3 shots, and sequencecoordination with other devices. And, Cold Load Pickup and Inrush Restraint functions distinguish the fault current and the normalload current. As equipped with fully configurable setting value ranges, FTU-100 series can be used as Distribution Automationequipment in various faulted environments for the rapid fault restoration and blackout minimization.

FTU-GD100

FTU-GD100 performs RTU and distribution automation functions for Pad-mounted Multiple-circuits Load Break Switch. Basic model is for 4 circuits.Local Controller is directly connected to LBS and CT/PT inputs, and it has control (open/close) buttons, local/remote control position change switch,control lock/unlock switch, and LBS status LED indicators on the front panel. FTU-GD100 is connected to Local Controller through several connectors,and receives voltage/current inputs and LBS status information. Using this information, FTU-GD100 measures or calculates electric values, generateslogical status data, and transmits all information to Master system (DAS: Distribution Automation System) through communication network. For remotecontrol, FTU-GD100 receives control action command from Master system and sends control output to LBS through Local Controller. FTU-GD100 andLocal Controller are installed inside the enclosure of Pad-mounted LBS.
